Are there news from Spur ? How is he doing ?
@Stuart S.
Yes, please let us know how he seems today...what looks OK on the outside may not be so internally, so you really need to keep him monitored for a few days at least...

I know right? :(
It's a worry. We had a Herman's tortoise carried around by a dog that died later, no idea if it was connected but seemed odd. Very sad. Hope all is well.

When a big dog chews on a small tortoise there work enormous forces not only on the shell but even on the internal organs of the tortoise. We can never know what damage this could do.
Big dogs have immense force in their jaws.

Yes and the injuries between the marginals and costals look like pressure induced rather than tooth marks.

Hi, don't feel bad, one time my brother just purchased a baby Hermanns tortoise and he placed it on the kitchen floor not realizing his 80lb bull terrier was loose. He turned around for 5 seconds and the tortoise was gone. Hope yours will be ok!

Reptiles are generally pretty tough to physical injuries. Just not diseases. However your tortoise will very likely show imperfect growth at points of injury his whole life. :eek:
