Hi! My tortoise stopped eating for a couple of weeks, still drinking and moving around, so I was trying to book a vet visit (just moved though so difficult trying to find a reptile vet nearby + don’t have a car so also trying to organise times with my friend to drive me) however she’s started eating again now, moving around a bit less though but I’m not sure if that’s just because it’s winter? Anyway I was wondering if I should still book a vet visit + if anyone can see any visible warning signs

Please let us know a little more about your enclosure. Lighting. Heating types. Temperature. Humidity and foods.
Maybe we can spot an issue that might be causing some stresd

Greetings. It’s kind of hard to look at a tortoise & say whether it’s sick or not. This time of year many folks will note a change in behavior in their tort. Often this is seasonal - shorter days, colder temps, less food variety. Soo, make sure your heat & lighting are good. Even extend the number of hours of “daylight” & bump up your temps.

Good luck

ps - Weymouth MA or UK ?
