I’m thinking about adopting this sulcata. Me and my husband recently lost our hatchling due to a bad vet. This sulcata is said to be 15 years old. The owner said he kept him in a room with a ambient temp of 80 degrees. Does he look big enough for 15? Is his pyramiding bad?
Looks great! I'd have to see his eyes to know more, though. But the shell is almost perfect. He is a bit on the small side for 15, but moving him outside in the real sun with lots to graze on will help him catch up.
The pyramiding is minimal, especially on a tort that is supposed to be 15(the tort community was still learning alot when he was a babe).
He is small for 15 but he will probably make up for it if given a yard and all the grass and weeds he wants.
If you get him, I would give daily soaks for a while.
