My leopard breeder regularly sees ground squirrels eating hatchlings like a Big Mac.

I eliminate them from my tortoises environment every way possible.

I hate ground squirrels. They are getting to close to the house. I'm with Tom. My husband now has a new hobby. I think we have been watching to much Duck Dynasty!

HA! Duck Dynasty:
Photographer: "Is that safe?"
Phil: "Not for the squirrel."

Best line EVER uttered on television!

Haha agreed!

I too have seen a curious squirrel watching my 2 1/2 yr old Sulcata up fairly close to the fence of his outdoor habitat on occasion. Ziggy2 does not act alarmed and goes about his business of eating and walking around. He has never been attacked or injured.
The squirrels also appear atop the standard height fence of my larger 13 yr old Sulcatas habitat as well. He has never been attacked either.
