My Russian keeps digging near the wall in her box. I am worried about her getting to the plastic underneath or caught on her basking stone. Is there any way to have her dig in a different area of the box?

I presume your Russian is new? I've had mine for 6 days now and on the first 3 he had to be put in a cardboard box until his real enclosure arrived. He scratched and scratched at the walls and corners. I'm sure your Russian isn't digging, it's scratching. This is your Russian telling you it needs more room or it wants to escape.

Her box is huge for her 6ft x 3ft plus her house up the ramp. I did have her lights on later than normal because it is was turned on a little late today and thought maybe that was it. 16077408612621346576161871625193.jpg

Then she is probably trying to escape. Give her some more time to get used to her new habitat then eventually she'll realize it's useless then stop. How long have you had her for?

A few weeks now. I understand it hasn't been that long but she hasn't dug at all since we got her. We will definitely give it more time.

Have you let your tort out of its enclosure to roam around a little? If so that is why it wants back out. Please remove the water bowl and food bowl and replace with clay pot saucer for water and a large flat stone for food. Both are tipping hazards due to their steep sides. What are your Temps (basking/cool) and what you are using to produce UVB and heat
