after 2 weeks, the mopani wood I bought started to mold in my tort's enclosure. it's a shame because she seemed to like it.

Any tips on alternatives?

This is what works best for me:

1. Find any piece of wood, ANY PIECE OF WOOD

2. Put it in a plastic storage bin with a ratio of 1/3 cup bleach to a gallon water

3. Let it sit there for 24 hours

4. Empty bleach out of the storage bin

5. Fill bin with water

6. Every 2-10 hours empty and fill with new water after 48 hours of this process look at step 7

7. Let the wood dry for 1 week if the wood still is wet after one week... let it dry another week ?

8. You now have wood (yay).
