How often should I feed my 8 month old Russian dandelions? I was feeding him dandelions every day with grape leaves, flowers, etc. I give him Mansourzi (sp?) once a week. I have tried mustard greens which he did not like. I read that dandelions are high in oxalic acid and I don't want to make him sick.

I bought him some spring mix as winter is coming and the dandelions and grape leaves will be gone pretty soon. He loves the Spring Mix, however, it seems to make his poop very, very loose compared to eating weeds, grape leaves and flowers. Is this a common occurrence?

Are there any known weeds or foods that cause more of a build up of gritty urates or hard urates, or is that problem caused by dehydration?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I LOVE TORTOISE FORUM!! :D

I wouldn't feed dandelions more than once a week. They are medium as far as oxalic acid is concerned, but it can add up if feed every day.
Diet and dehydration can cause gritty urates.
