Cypress mulch or orchids bark

Hi, so I noticed my tortoises wounds were alo t better and I wanted to get him on some bedding, should I use cypress mulch, orchids bark, or both?

I think you should use whichever you can find at a local garden center and what you like... I use cypress mulch but know lots of tortoise keepers use the orchid bark.

I use cypress mulch mixed with a good quality reptile soil such as Lugarti Natural Reptile Bedding for most of my torts

I would use orchid bark, aka fir bark, if you can find it. Each time I've tried to use cypress mulch, it smelled like the swamp it came from and was very dirty. I would not use a cypress "blend".

Ok, do you know we're i can find orchids bark ive Been looking for some but I can only find the potting soil version.

I use cypress mulch, please note it gets pretty dry and dusty and requires you to moisten it a few times a week.
