This is such an off topic thing to ask, but what names do you LOVE for a female russian tortoise? After getting a few suggestions I love, I will make a poll, and the community will get to pick my new tort's name! Thank you in advance for your feedback!

A very warm welcome to the forum @jobroyo .

You can find millions of names for pets on the net.

(Nothing to do with your tort's future name: please post pics of your tort and her enclosure).

Stoli is such a great name oh my goodness. I am really thinking about the name Ollie, with the nickname Olive.

Here are some names for torts I found on the net.

Typical, funny and ironic names

  • Tank, Dozer, Bulldozer, Tonka, Truck, Mack...
  • Shelly, Sheldon, Shelby... (ie Dr. Sheldon Cooper, or his 'gamer name'- Sheldor, from Big Bang Theory, Mary Shelly the author of Frankenstein, etc.)
  • Zippy, Turbo, Speedy, Indy, Nitro, Scooter, Speedo...
  • Spot, Rover, Fido... and other common dog and cat names
  • Tortellini, the type of pasta
