Hey this is my first post ,and I'm really exited to get help from all of you.
I have a redfooted turtle female , and she usually gets little cuts from climbing in weird places and it heals quickly but recently she got a cut/rip on the top of her neck and it doesn't look too deep it just looks like her skin cracked which is worrying me. She hasn't changed in attitude or eating habits. She's still eating like a monster hahah, but she did have diarrhea the other day maybe it from the orange I gave her. And I might be a little paranoid because I feel like her head and neck are getting skittle bulkier maybe she's growing ??? I don't know , and I haven't found any reptile vets around California so I'm still looking for a vet for her

This is a pretty bad place to have an injury. I have a yellowfooted tortoise with an injury on the back of her neck (I'm assuming its the same as what you've described), and its been there for a couple of years. It can't heal because its right on the fold of skin and every time she pulls in her head it cracks it open again. As far as I've been able, there's really nothing you can do for it. I keep Neosporin on it to keep it soft, but it just never heals.

You might try putting some vetericyn on it. My dog had a baseball size wound that wouldn't heal and I put some of it on there and it was almost healed up the next day.
