Even tho' he's just barely 4 3/4" SCL.. his anal scutes are showing potential male. Only time will tell.

Darn flash!

The color-contrast shows quite well with this girl.. shy 5" SCL.

Is that a 'check-mark' on her left cheek?

This is the truest color of these three -

I really like these Bolivian redfoot tortoises!!!

Looking good Terry, can't wait to see how they develope into mature adults. Curious to see what size they reach and how the plastrons colors/patterns develope.

Craig - @Anyfoot - asked for the Bolivians.. so here is the earlier 2016.. he is 3" SCL - while "DreamBo is 2.5" SCL.

I decided to use the flash ( for clarity ).. but that always 'washes-out' the colors! So "BigBoBaby" is a darker orange than shows -

Imagine a deeper "burnt-orange" -

These babies look somehow bigger, or their shells look wider. And you have another baby with those "eyebrows"! Love it!

Since these "2015" hatched and started outdoors in Florida.. have no idea how old they really are. This one is 5 7/8" SCL and has a split-scute. Again the flash really did the 'white-out' on the colors... these are much darker redfoots!

You can see the 'split-scute' on the rear -

Big juvie ...

"Hopeful" boy is next!
Awww! She's going to have those bright orange cheeks! Pretty!!!

ALL the ones I've seen do @Pearly !!!

The "true" .. those from Bolivia ( as best we know ) - have Yellow / Orange / Red coloration's.

Again there have been.. or currently are.. maybe two or three "breeder's" that have the adults from a shipment from the '80's.

This is a male from that early shipment [ courtesy D. Beard ] - shown next to a 16" 'cinder-block' -

How about these colors !!!

And that plastron - obvious male -

I have a 2008 hatched female.. a couple months old -

[ not my pic ]

And from last summer here.. shortly after I acquired her -

RED !

Will get current pics ASAP...
