I feed him a nice fresh turtle salad every day.

Why is he eating the coco fiber? It's not a massive amount, but I'm sure its not good digestive material.

I would imagine its something like what would happen if I ate a rope.

Actually if they ingest small amounts and he is well hydrated he should pass it with no problem, if he is intentionally eating it, not ingesting while eating, then he may be a serial substrate eater. Do you by any chance use a red light for heat?

I use a zoomed daylight & red heat light. He usually eats the substrate with the day bulb on.

Im not sure how you feed yours, but Coopers set up has a rubber mat under his food and water area so I can keep the coco coir away when he eats. The only time he has (so far) ate the coco coir is when he is munching his cuttle bone or when he picks thru it to eat his hay.

Hatchling size - maybe 3 months - first time I've SEEN him.

This is how I have him set up right now. 2 hide logs, dish in the corner - good idea with the rubber mat. - and the object with a ceramic tort shell cemented on top is his humid hide box (he doesn't go in yet).

He ate the coco fiber by his humid box (other side from his food)
