Editorial Reviews

"It's wonderful. It took me back to the days when our Greek tortoises used to spend the entire winter in front of the fire in the cottage, sleeping in old slippers and occasionally emerging for food." -- Terry Pratchett, author, Small Gods

Confessions of a Turtle Wife . . . is the touching tale of a marriage challenged by turtles.
-- Steve Dale, The San Diego Union-Tribune

I heartily recommend Confessions of a Turtle Wife.
-- Linda Goldston, San Jose Mercury News

A buddy was telling me a fun story about how he normally soaks all his reptiles in the “reptile house". One day while pressed for time, and his wife wasn't home, he figured it would be all good to soak a blue tongue in the master bath bathtub. His wife would never be the wiser, right? Well, guess who came home early! Yup, busted. Told me he's never done it since, unless, of course she's out of state.

Well yes. And Karen, I'm sure could tell many a fun story. The black throat monitor named “Sparky". LaFawnduh, the first sulcata to grace the ranch. And more. Many, many more…

Besides screen names mean nothing, I have heard you are not really a cowboy.

Oh. He's a cowboy alright... But is he really a "Ken"? THAT is the question... He could be a Mike, or a Joe, or a Chris for all we know...

I listened to this book during my trip. I thought it was good, yes a little too short. Good humor. I can't imagine having turtles and tortoises in a New York City apartment. of course I can't even imagine living myself in a New York City apartment but that's okay. I liked the book.
