I really love him, even though he doesn't like to be handled much. I'm working on him though.

Really nice :) I dont know too much about snakes so sorry if my question sounds weird, but how do you know that Colonel Mustart does not like to be handled?

OOOOH! I love little hoggies! He looks like a cutie, love his name. One of these days I'm going to break down and get one, they are right up there on my "next snake" list.

He doesn't settle down when I hold him like my other hognose did. I've had Colonel Mustard since he was only about 8" long and he just sort of freaks out and tries to get away. The other one I was just watching for a friend and I kept him for 6 months. He would just wrap around my hand and hang there, this one seems tense and afraid of me. I work with him every day for a few minutes though, maybe I just need longer sessions?
If anyone has advice I am more than happy to learn!
