The St. Louis Cardinals First Basemen, Allen Craig, owns a nice Sulcata, as well. It has a nice outdoor enclosure in SoCal.

I'm from St. Louis and I didn't know this. That's awesome!

I'm still convinced that that's a fake picture. If you take him out of the pic, and put the sulcata on the ground, his legs are all in one plane, and it sure looks to me like it's walking. Stretched out neck. I don't see the strain in his arms that would be there if he were holding a tortoise that big away from his body like that.

It does not look fake to me. Larger animals that are comfortable with being handled sometimes assume that kind of position and it does not look unusual to me. I think it would take more effort to forge the photo than to actually take the photo for a person who is physically inclined to the latter.
