Let's also NOT not mention these crappy MVB sporadic, inconsistent and unreliable bulbs.
I've got several of them in a box that I don't want to throw away because they cost me about $50 each. Even though my UV meter proved them to be pure garbage.
I bought them for my growing collection of Chameleons.
I'd like to save someone else from throwing good money away!

This happened to us as well 😭. We had the wrong lighting for about a month and then o found this forum. Sometimes his eyes will look a little cloudy. Is this permanent damage, shed? Etc
Use the correct bulb and all should be well again. Turn off the existing bulb until you can bet a new one. A few days without one will do no harm.

If there’s no improvement in 2-3weeks go see a vet specialising in tortoises

I just went to a very large pet shop in Hollywood this morning for crickets and fish food.
Coiled CFL lights on the snakes, lizards, turtles and tortoises.
Nothing but spiral/coiled UVB lights for sale.
No strip florescent. Not even T8. For sale.
I asked the manager why they didn't sell the correct lighting. He said "we could order some for you".
Frustrating.
