Yep.You can also get coco coir bricks at Target, garden section, near the seeds since it is used for starting seeds also. Also, some nurseries will carry it. The Target one was $2.47, FYI. I read about this substrate here on the forum and I really like using it for my little leopard. Really keeps humidity up. In one of the other threads, one of the experts stated that he cleans it periodically by pouring boiling water over it in a pail, letting it cool, strain, reuse. He says he has used the same batch for 2 years. Of course, when it gets really old, it's excellent to throw it in the garden. Like the stuff, so whomever out there figured out it would be good for tortoises, thank you muchly!

what do you mean by strain?
