Squirrel is good all by it's self . haha Why junk it up with a salad .
Hmm. Been vegan for eight years. Even after some sort of apocalypse, I'm not sure I could do it..
...and I don't think I could eat it either!
Thanks! Yours has white flowers too?I think that is clover. I have it in my yard too.
Yep, you'd be the one growing strong and rebuilding society. I would gradually be losing strength and eventually be unable to fight my tortoise for the last dandelion. Still, a noble way to go out..That is great. More food for me!
So it looks like sorrel can be a million different things, but I'm yet to find a pic of it that really looks like what I have..Just checked with Tortoise Table and seems sorrel and oxalis are same family
Oh thanks, I haven't heard of that before. Good to know! It's confusing isn't it? A member (Leigti) recently recommended a web site/app called Garden Compass to me. You can send them a photo of a plant and they will ID it for you. I haven't used it myself yet but may be worth trying.
Clovers here grow round ball shaped compound flowers. White or fuschia color depending on the type. And round leaves with little to no bifurcation. Not heart-shaped. Maybe there are other kinds elsewhere.
I love clover. It's among my favorite blemishes (AKA weeds) a lawn can have. Such dainty little leaves, and tortoises love it. Too bad it's sort of high in protein.
White clover - Trifolium repens. (creeping clover).I have clover like that too (with white flowers), which makes me think it's either a different kind, or something different altogether.
Why do we need hundreds of species of clover? That's just confusing.White clover - Trifolium repens. (creeping clover).
Red clover - Trifolium pratense ( purple clover).
These are the usual ones, but there are hundreds of other species.
I don't think we need them, there just are.Why do we need hundreds of species of clover? That's just confusing.
