Hi all. My guy keeps having cloudy white foam on his eye. Last time it happened I got drops that did not really work. I also learned how hard it is to get an eye drop into the eye of a reptile with eyes on the sides of his head. Does anyone else's sulcata get this? Going to the vet s tough because of his size and weight so I'm wondering if there's any other remedy that has worked? If not i will just have to coordinate with some strong neighbors to help me get this guy into the car!

Thanks so much

This is a good question, and everyone learns from the answers, so don't even think about deleting it. People will do a 'search' for the eye problem you've described for their own tortoise, and this thread will come up.

The type of foam you're seeing in the eye MIGHT be from his being a bit too warm. Also, when they need to cool down, the foam helps them do so.
