Sorry to post so much here Im just an overly concerned tortoise parent i guess ? Today after sunning my Sulcata tortoise hatchling I brought him inside and while he was snapping his jaw shut he was making this little clicking noise. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Ive heart in other reptiles clicking is a sign of a URI. He hasnt made the noise since and that was the first time i ever heard him making it. He does still have a bit of an egg tooth im not sure if that makes a difference

After doing some more research ive learned its normal for there to be a ocassional clicking sound when theyre young(if im not mistaken) he hasnt had and bubbles or extra saliva or anything so i think i can rule our URI.... i dont know how to remove my posts so just posting this update. Id still love to hear anyone's advice and or opinions

I also heard my leopard hatchling today make clicking noises. It kinda seemed on purpose.
