Clicking/Beak Trim?

So Molly is now clicking while she eats. It doesn't happen any other time except when she is chewing.

After doing some research here and on other sites I've realized that it is definitly her beak. Her jaw is aligned and she can fully close her mouth she just clicks when she chews. I'm going to start feeding her on the slates in her tank. I already sprinkle calcium on her food but if you all think I should add cuttlebone I will. I'm hesitant about it because I have read that they can go over board with cuttlebone.

I tried to get some pics of her mouth/beak. They aren't the best (she wasn't really cooperating with me). If you all think she needs a trim please let me know. Thanks in advance!!!

I do not think so. Hatchlings make this noise sometimes. I don't see anything wrong with the beak. It usually goes away after a while. I think a cuttle bone is a good idea.

I am definitely going to pick some up. At my job we sell the All Living Things Cuttlebones. Its in our bird section but this is still ok to use with tortoises right?

I agree.
I had a vet file down a clicking beak once, but on a 28 year old tortoise

LOL. I was really thinking "she can't be doing this already can she?" :D

Babies do make clicking sounds as their jaws develop so don't panic. feed them on something hard like slate, tile or even flat rock which will help grind their beak as they bite the food. Also, you can try cuttlebone, but I haven't found my babies to like it at all. Even my adults don't bother with it.
