I have two Egyptian tortoises. Eygptian tortoises are the second smallest tortoise specie. Their mature length is about 7 inches. My tortoises are legally in this country and are captive bred (back to the 70’s). Egyptian tortoises are going extinct from illegal pet trade. The smuggled animals typically go to the uk, europe and asia, even though the penalties for removing them from Egypt are unspeakably harsh. Typically smugglers pack the tortoises tightly into tiny crates and more often than not, the tortoises don't survive.
Too help preserve the Egyptian tortoise they were brought to this country and placed with herpetologists who were willing to join a conservancy project. I bought them in 2005. Sadly my life and personal circumstances are forcing me to find a new home for these tortoises.

Adoption fee: $600.00 each (that's $100.00 less, per tortoise, than I paid for them in 2005)
