I will admit, I probably don't change the substrate as much as I should... but anyways, I'm thinking of changing it up a bit this time, just to see if I can't get a little more humidity in there. (well a lot more humidity, right now I am having to spray four to five times a day or else the humidity gets dangerously low)
Right now it's a mix of 50% top soil, 40% coco coir, and 10% sand.
Would it be bad to cut the soil all together and just do an 80/20 coco coir and sand mixture? Also, I bought a bag of cypress mulch back in July and used about half of it in Carl's outdoor enclosure. The other half has been sitting outside in the elements, right next to Carl's outdoor enclosure. Does that stuff go bad, or would it be okay to use some of that inside as well?
