Try to feed your tort while soaking ... It distracts mine and lets the bath last longer.

Oh I have tried that he sorta goes into a strop and refuses to even look at the food I now have his heat lamp over his water dish and he does climb in that and happy enough to stay there. I do have to change his water 2 times a day at least but a small price to pay
