The easiest way would be to heat up regular drinking water over a stove so that it's lukewarm. By the way, I'm glad you're not mixing species.

Another way to dechlorinate tap water is to leave it in a container overnight or place the container in the sun for an hour or two. The amount of chlorine in the water after that should be no issue unless you are drawing it from a public swimming pool!
