How old is your tort?
Large vivs are better for babies but older torts need a minimum of 4 x 8 feet, but the bigger the better.

One of the best ideas I've seen for juvenile or adult torts is the use of upvc raised garden beds by Elohi for her leopard.
That's a Lifetime kit with the 2 stacked to make a 4 x 4 feet enclosure but you could use side by side for a
4' x 8' or extend with a second kit. Don't know if they are available in Ireland but you may be able to get something similar.
