i finally added some red worms and pill bugs today! dug up some in my parent's backyard. :D

i have a layer of lava rocks on the bottom with some topsoil, garden soil, play sand, and sphagnum moss all mixed together on top.

also, i have about an inch of water where the lava rocks are to keep a nice bottom layer of humid soil and for the plants as well. i've inserted a tube in one of the corners that reaches to the bottom which i can connect to with a funnel and can refill the water as needed.

i have some aloe, a chicks and hens, and some transplanted tortoise seed sprouts. i will be adding a nice creeping plant next to the log that can go over it and creep everywhere else.

i'm happy that i'm just about done.
