I was wondering if anyone has any further information on the Beaver Dam Slope Desert Tortoise that is from Utah and if there is anything unique about them compared to other desert tortoises.

It's a Gopherus agassizii, so I doubt it's 'unique,' but your post is the first I'm hearing about it. I'll have to go visit my friend,Google.

I believe that the name "Beaver Dam Slope Desert Tortoise" is simply a name assigned by the US government to a specific study area which was previously burned by wildfires and where they are now trying to reintroduce native wild plants and desert tortoises. It does not indicate that the tortoises found there are any different than the normal desert tortoises found throughout the range.
