I got a Bearded Dragon about a week ago and I have been hearing so many different things on feeding options. How many crickets do I feed her a day? I've been giving her about 10 a day and worms. Ive also been giving her some chopped up kale and spring mix. I'm not sure exactly how old she is but I know shes still pretty young. I got her from Petco

I would give her size appropriate crickets and would give her how ever much she can hoover up in about 5 minutes or so...then you will need to remove any left over...they can bite and damage the lizard...and feeding dark leafy greens during the day is a good thing...water is necessary as well...:D What type of lighting (heat and uv) and heating are you using?

It all depends on age/size. Little guys eat WAY more insects than adults. When they are babies, you feed them 2-3 times a day. Plus, veggies.

And roaches are better than crickets if you can swing that. Look into starting a Blaptica dubia colony.

I love beardies!! I have three. When they are very young be careful with mealworms. (people say it will back them up...that's not really true) it's just they arebit harder in the outer shell that's harder for babies to digest and get what they need from it.

Along with your greens make it a salad. They love red peppers and yellow squash. Or at least mine do haha

Ignore the third pic that's not mine. Not sure how it got in there lol

@Blggreek08 mine is about the size of the one in your first picture.

Is 10 crickets a day enough? She doesn't eat them all. Right now I don't have a cricket keeper so i've been going to the store everyday to get crickets, but I am planning on buying one Thursday, but for right now I don't want to go to the store 3 times a day. I also have a water dish in there with her and she drinks out of it.

Also, if she doesn't eat all of the crickets how do you get them out of her enclosure after she's done eating if their hopping around?

As for lighting, i'm using the 125 watt powersun for uvb and heat.
