Our baby Sulcata, which I got early October of this year has not eaten for 2 days. We feed a mix of chopped spring mix, soaked mazuri and chopped cactus. We are worried. We have soaked him for about 20min and he peed afterwards. He is under a Zoo Med mercury vapor bulb all day (we use a timer) We are worried he may be getting too cold at night? He perked up in the warm water bath, but had slept most of the day. We also gave him a bath in a baby food bath so he has some nutrients coming in. Any advice?!

What are your temps at night? Most, if not everyone offers artificial heating for night time. If you are raising him the proper way, which is in Toms threads below in my post, his temps should never go below 80 with a humidity never below 80%. Please read the threads and make adjustments. A cold baby is not good. A ceramic heat emitter is best for night time heat. It doesn't light up, just heat.

You may have already solved your problem..."? getting cold at night". I also have a new baby.:)
At night my little guy has a humid hide with temps 80-82. I found that a ceramic heat emitter (CHE) on a thermostat works great at keeping the night temps warm.
Basking temp 95-100, and surrounding areas stay in the 80's. Humidity stays 75-80%. Is this close to your set up?

Here are the three most common problems:
1. Too cold, especially at night.
2. Coil type UV bulbs burning their eyes.
3. They were started too dry and dehydrated.

Can you eliminate any or all of these?
