Hi all, i’ve recently rescued a pair of baby sulcata tortoise from an inexperienced keeper. He had this pair for about 3 months but recently their appetite dropped and one of the started swelling in the face.

I’ve been trying to get it to eat but to no avail. So what i do is bring up the temp to about 35 degree Celsius and soak them daily in Gerber Carrot baby food mixed with warm water. They’ve been surviving on this for over a week now. I’m booked an appointment with the vet and waiting to take them both mid this week. 8E51A54F-1F1F-4601-8DBF-A711CB71C2D1.jpeg3A26EAF9-F24B-459F-8877-42C235EEBD82.jpeg

I'm sorry, but I haven't got a clue what could be wrong with your baby's face. It's good that you're going to the vet.

Sooner you take him to a good reptile vet, the better, I think. Looks bad, like an infection that needs immediate treatment. Any news?
By the way, keep them entirely separate from each other. And please keep us informed!
