I don't see any pyramiding unless it is that tall shell of the little guy. I thought that that's how leapords were?

The scutes are raised slightly so yes there is pyramiding but if provided the right environment, within a few years it would gradually be leas and less noticeable.

That 'first scute'-pyramiding, to my knowledge, happens when the little tortie is kept in too dry an environment. A lot of folks don't realize that babies really need a lot of humidity, and need to be soaked 2x or so daily... These guys grow to be pretty big, so with proper care, I'd imagine that the initial pyramiding will hardly be visible in time. :)

Yes the pyramiding will probably look way less if raised correctly. But don't forget, the pyramiding happens because of being kept too dry, that, too dry, can also cause internal problems also. It just looks too little to be pyramided at all. Maybe it's older then what it looks.
