Hi! Im new to tortoise keeping. My dad and my girlfriend just bought me a pair of baby Indian Star Tortoises. I need opinions on how i am taking care of them. I just got them not long ago and don't really know much yet. One of the tortoises has some clear liquid coming out of its mouth. what is that? i feed them both watercress. what is the best to feed them and they seem to be eating very little.
From the pictures, both of them have white lines at their scutes. is that a problem?

. Sorry I can't help,with the stars, but someone will be able too. Just hang in there. What I can tell you is to soak them every day in warm water for 20-30 minutes, keep them warm, 75-80 degrees for now and have a basking spot of 95. Also,have water available, 24/7 and feed a wide variety of tort edible items.
