Hi,
My baby Hermanns is 10 months old and has been doing really well I've had it almost a month now. appetite is good, starting to get more picky hah but I think that's because he knows ill feed him now. he walks around his enclosure and will climb over things in their. he's in a 2x4 tortoise table, I use organic top soil and eco earth mixed for his substrate. he doesn't burrow much but the humidity is kept around 70% but where the basking and warm side has a little lower humidity. I do give him a bath every morning after breakfast. ive noticed the skin on his head turn white and ive assumed it has something to do with shedding but the other day I noticed the skin on his legs and under his shell is white is and almost see threw. Im wondering if this is serious or if im not giving him enough vitamin A.
-Hes been itchy mostly just itching his head with his front legs.
(sorry if these photos are bad quality I had to screenshot from a video I took of him last night I couldn't figure out how to upload the video to this thread.
thank you so much! im looking forward to hearing from you all on the best way to care for my little fella!! :)

That is older stained skin wearing off over time and being replaced by newer lighter colored un-stained skin. Nothing to worry about.
