Are Mosquitos a threat to your tortoise?

So it's that time again, for me atleast. I've found a few Mosquitos in my house and I'm familiar with what they can carry. Could this be deadly to a turtle or tortoise? Or do they just leave them alone? Because I remember when I was a kid I would wake up with bites on my forehead and whondered if there's a danger between A tortoises standards. Thanks!

You have more to worry about from mosquitoes than your tortoise. His skin is like armour!

Don't use fly spray or any other chemical mosquito killer including citronella in the same room as your tort... that would harm him.

Make sure your changing out his water or the 'sketters will be reproducing in it.
