I have to agree I am looking forward to it and it has been a long time since I felt that way about a movie. I was wondering if reading he books first and then going to see the movie is the best way or the other way around. Of course it reminds me of a japanese movie form the 90's called battle something about high school students who fight to the death to get an education.

if you read them out of order it will make no sense!
I kept hearing about them and read them.. got hooked. had to read all three..
Now that the movie is out.. I want to see it.. but ive heard mixed reviews.. I guess it all depends how you see it in your mind and how it turns out onscreen..

I despise reading and I read all 3 books in 2 days! What a great story! Saw the movie: it was good but I was expecting better.

I saw it, and really liked it. There were some elements that I thought were a bit "cheesy" but all in all, I really enjoyed the movie. I would definitely recommend it.

Looks too derivative of Logan's Run and The Running Man, IMHO.

I thought the same thing when I first read the premise of the book. But who knows might be good.

My son brought home the DVD, but I'm not going to look at it until I read the books. Right now I'm reading Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty shades Darker, and Fifty shades Freed. I am in shock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the movie. I thought the acting was good, and of course, the story was very interesting. I thought it was a little anticlimactic at the end with the stupid dogs, but I'd probably see it again.

Neal did you read the books? I think if you didnt,, youd feel a bit lost or think the movie lacked a lot.. if you read the books, you can fill in a lot fo what the movie didnt show..
Book 2 and 3, help cont the story..
I really wish the movie had gone into more background and character/tribute intros.

My daughter bought me the book, and I hope to start it tomorrow. :)

I'm in the same boat. Just got them but haven't had time to start reading.
