For the past 3 years a few of these have been popping up in the yard. I have been just pulling them up, but this year I let one mature to see what they are. The plant identification app hasn't given a correct answer.Picture 005.jpg Picture 002.a.jpg Picture 003.jpg Before it started getting cold outside the leaves would fold closed at night but not now.

No problem, In my opinion is closely matches the first one.
That's the one I've done a search on so far. Couldn't find if it will survive in my climate though, most are tropical plants but some can do fine in a colder environment. Also wondering where the original seeds came from. When the first one came up a couple years ago it looked like a peanut plant.starting to sprout.

Well, according to my friend Wiki, the whole plant is edible! So you've found a new food source for Walker!
