I've been wondering, flowers kind of seem like a waste of stomach space with low nutritional value and I was thinking if I should pretty much remove them from my russians diets. Are there any nutrients in flowers? Are there any benefits for including it in a tortoise's diet? I was looking at a hibiscus flower and the base part seems to have a ton of sweet nectar, which probably isn't super good for tortoises anyway. I don't know, just wondering if anyone has a good reason for keeping them in a tortoises diet.

It really depends on the species. Tortoises LOVE flowers (dandelions, hibiscus, squash blossoms etc). It's not only good for them nutritionally but it's great enrichment.
