I have done a search first but the answers dont seem relevant to the Uk.

I noticed tonight that I have ants getting into my tortoise thank.

They are in an enclose viv and they seem to be creeping in the edges.

I try to only feed as much as they will eat so no waste is left sitting there.
Viv gets sprayed a few times a day to keep humidity uo.

And they are on orchid bark.

The ants in question are the little black ones but I am worried how they will affect my torts and not sure what to do to get rid of them.

Any help much appreciated.

If they really ants getting into the enclosure from the outside of the enclosure, you can line the outside with some Vaseline. If this is actually an outdoor enclosure, line the outside of the enclosure with corn meal. I read it is suppose to keep ants out. I have never had to try it, so don't know if it really works, but worth a try.

corn meal? i have never heard of that, but i will definitely try it for my torts, i would think the corn meal would entice them to come by more often

The enclosure is there indoor viv. These are my first torts so have never come across this before.

The ants are coming in from outside some where but not sure where their entry point is.
