Hi has anyone had experience using Aloe Vera With torts??

I was thinking that it would be good for shells sheds and for impaction ..

It would also be a good plant to grow in enclosures ..

Is it good for them? That is something I can definitely keep in her indoor enclosure during the winter.

I would guess you would cut small peaces ....

Mostly I would smash it into juice and rub it on them ....

I feed it to my little crew, I just score it down the center of a leaf and they just go to town, even the hatchlings. I have not seen any loose stools from feeding it. We call it tortie crack at my house! :p

It does absolutely nothing when used externally. When eaten it causes runny poop.

I feed a little about once a week. I would feed more if my plant grew quicker. I think there are probably benifits we don't see or know about.

I fed Nelson aloe once...and then my plant died :p He seemed to enjoy it though!
I just ripped off a piece and he was able to bite through the skin.
