They're native to my area. (Not Hypo)
They're very strong. Get very large and try to bite.
Try to bite? First reaction is to bite is more like it. I handled a juvenile 20 pounder years ago that got moved due to flooding. I was exhausted ?!

I always get them confused.
One had a short neck and cant reach his head around very far. One has a long neck and can chomp you no matter where you grab them it seems.
I just leave them alone.

They are terribly dangerous. I was in Texas and saw a big snapper biting a broom handle in half, snap! What do you want them for?
