I’m up at the Tulsa Zoo. Always love seeing the Aldabras here. One time I got to scratch the big one’s neck (Al). That is what got me hooked. Also, Bob Clark’s female isn’t here anymore. 5A5857A9-4E6A-472F-BAD5-3A432B7ED895.jpeg 5D199BA9-6FD0-49EC-9E62-04F007A30D32.jpeg DC5625D3-99D4-4C23-8CA1-433227F0C2CA.jpeg 20895BEB-B19D-4A34-AD27-DC5744B91A5B.jpeg

I hope so. I think she was the only one at the zoo producing good eggs.

Aldabras are amazing. I miss getting to interact with the ones at my old job. I was fortunate enough to be their primary care giver. Someday maybe I will get to have one (or more than one) of my own.

Funny enough- one of the ones we had for a while was also named Al. He was 525lbs. Big boy. I heard that he was that size in the 70s when he showed up on paper. There are no records for him before that.
