What is considered average weight / length for an adult male?

As of today, my 6 y/o Russian, Harrison, was 424 g, with a carapace length of just under 5 inches.

I don't have any reference material, but in my experience, females get to be about 6" and males about 5" .

So, during my research before getting my Russian I read that Russian males get up to 9 and females up to 11? Will they really stay that small?

Russian males on average stay around the 6" mark. Females can average 8-10" in size. I've heard of "Jumbo" females that get larger (up to 13"), but I have yet to actually see one of those with my own eyes.

The biggest russian males I've seen were around 6 inches. I would say this is "normal". I've seen females as large as 8", and I've heard of large ones, but never seen one that size. I'd say normal for females is 7-8".
