Hi everyone!!
You all helped me so much when my box turtle was afraid of water...I am hoping I can get assistance with a new issue that has developed!!
I adopted Spike a few months ago, and quickly realized that she had not received great care in the past. I wss informed that she had lived on a diet of strictly kale for years, with the occasional strawberry for a treat. For the first week, she ate veggies like she had been STARVED! She loved collards, mustard greens, sweet potato, strawberries...you name it, she would eat it! Then her worms arrived in the mail...
Since her first worm, she decided that she was done with all other food. I have tried everything! Even if I do not give her worms for days, it doesn't matter. I even tried the recipe I found on here for turtle meatballs, but no luck with that! She goes NUTS for worms, and if she thinks I might have some for her I swear she is like a frenzied little puppy. It is so adorable, but I want her to have a healthy diet!
Any tips you have on how I could get her to eat veggies would be appreciated. I also am wondering how often to feed her...I've read that every other day is best, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thank you so much!!
