I purchased two RF tortoises from a "breeder" that had a "farm" in Miami, but had me meet him at a house in Hollywood Florida.
I found the ad on Craigslist.
Long story short, I didn't ask questions...He claimed he had 48 of them but wanted to sell these two. (The ones I bought)
One of the tortoises was Bertha, who was critically ill and was ill, very ill for about a year.
Recently, another member mentioned that they found a breeder on Craigslist that had two female RF for sale. Farm in Miami, buy them at a home in Hollywood. same story.
This member asked questions and the situation got very strange. (She did NOT buy from him.)
I've left out some details because I'm not yet ready to call this guy out.
My thought is that he is selling very old and very ill retired breeding stock.
The sellers name is ANDREW.
Has anyone else had dealings with Andrew from Hollywood via Miami?
I think I smell a rat.
