I've been away for a long weekend, and got back to some new food ... I knew Darwin was hungry, so I made up a late lunch of three different types of pellets:
1) Rep Cal maintenance formula, with fruit
2) Zoo Med grassland tortoise food
3) Mazuri tortoise diet
My thinking is that the variety may smooth out any shortcomings in any one of the foods, and increase the overall fiber content while dropping the protein and sugar levels of Darwin's diet.
I generally feed Darwin pellets 1-2 times per week.
