hi I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. About 6-7 weeks ago my nearly 2 year old Horsefield suddenly began to sleep all the time, it won't eat but will sometimes have a little drink if I put it in its waterbowl, it will also move around a tiny bit but never opens its eyes(only opening them a tiny bit a few times) I got told when I bought my tortoise when it was about 1 year old not to hibernate Milo until about 3 years old. I've looked around on websites but I just keep seeing different answers, I've tried bathing him daily to try wake Milo up and made sure the heat temperatures are okay. I'm starting to get a bit worried about my tort, does anyone have any ideas what it's doing? Thanks:)

Hello, Grace and a very warm welcome to Tortoise Forum to you and Milo.
You say your temps are right, but what are they ? Basking Spot, warm side, cool side and night time low ?
And your humidity ?
And are you using a coil or compact bulb ?
A photo of your enclosure might help if you could manage it.
It shoul not be hibernating yet, where about's are you ?
UK?
