My sulcata Rocky seems to be getting a little sweeter lately. He's always been a bit sassy. I posted about him rubbing on me and I didnt know what was going on. He likes to eat his treats from the lap of my s.o.

May be early to tell but I'm sure new growth will come in smooth with changes like that! I had some lapses in humidity with rocky growing up from time to time and he has a few ridges here and there but since he's big enough to summer outside the same thing happened. Better new growth.

I'm back from the dead as well, I never forgot big ol cooper and how fast he grew. Had to do a search and see an update.

I did bring him a handful of carrots today and rubbed his shell while he ate. As soon as I touched him he plopped down. Almost like it was a comfort come to think of it. Maybe I'm crazy, but I know they are intelligent and in my observation it is the intelligent species who tend to be affectionate.

Well he's outside in a pen, thus far he has no problem smushing down in tall grass but no actual digging has occurred.

Sulcata's do need to be babied as little ones, and they need a secure and warm outdoor enclosure when they get older.
