My kids would like to bring their desert tortoise to school for a brief visit for show and tell. I’ll be watching closely and kids will be instructed to “look, don’t touch”. It’s a private school, small class sizes, well maintained… Are there any reasons that we should not do this?

Any ideas about how to keep these insects from making their nests in the tortoise cave? I burned them out of my Russian tortoise, Juliet’s, cave and she is most anxious to reclame her space. So are the wasps!
