    Breakfast in the nursery!

When I built mine, I started with how much space I had available. I'm pretty sure it's a 5'4'4 . I used non toxic pond sealant on the bottom of my cage to make it water proof, and added an additional plastic liner on the bottom. Because I wanted live plants planted throughout the cage. If I had...

    Update:

Thanks! I just get so worried about him pyramiding. But his shell growth is amazing and now you can barley even tell he had pyramiding at all! His growth rate is starting to pick up too. I'm also a firm believer that they do better with the naturalistic setups. I think all animals do! All my...

    Update:

I usually have one of the repti-sun bulbs in, but I accidentally broke it the other day, so while I'm waiting for my other one to be shipped here, I had to improvise! It's gonna be about another week before the repti-sun uvb bulb gets here. Thanks for the info though. It's only temporary, I just...

    Mahoney update:

It's been about two months since I've brought Mahoney home. He is already making a lot of progress, and I can actually see the pyramiding on his shell evening out! Happy with these results! Thought I'd update everyone!

I also use warmer water, just so it's not an arctic plunge!

    Bath Time!

Thank you! I've been trying to grow a few different types of cacti, but to no avail yet! Maybe your Russian would like to be under the heat lamp! I don't have any experience w Russians. But I put sweet Mahoney in there that morning, bc it was only 62 degrees in my house, and I didn't want him to...

    Bath Time!

We have this filter built in under our kitchen sink. I know the petstore I work at sells something similar called a r.o. Buddy. $60 for a filter that will do 50 gallons a day! Ours is overkill, but it comes in handy!

    Bath Time!

I use tap water, we have a water filter on our sink that removes chlorine.

Might be rescuing a red foot

Thank you! I will have to check her out better when I go see her. Just worries me because of the information I was given on her. Thanks for the information though, and I will def check her out!

Might be rescuing a red foot

Trust me I know. I just feel bad for the poor little guy. I guess it's the whole human "compassion" for things that I guess shouldn't bother you, but they just do. Lol

Might be rescuing a red foot

Of course! He is charging a rehoming fee, but the price isn't what I was watching for. Just saw something that wasn't right, and I just have a major soft spot for red foots! Just wish people would really do their research before getting an animal like these guys. I'm willing to put in the time...
